Limiting the Competition
Adv. Orit Israeli and Adv. Roi Gross discussed the government bill of the amendment to the law regulating non-bank loans, which is up for debate at the constitution Law and Justice Committee.
In an article on the subject, published in Globes, Orit and Roi point out the Bill's weaknesses and ineffectiveness and predict it would make the current state of uncertainty in the credit market even worse, due to the enforcement of dual regulatory policy on the banks, amongst other reasons.
They conclude that even though this market needs regulation, the legislator should take care of its fundamental problems first.
